Product Description
Color: Rouge Red
Brew a perfect pot of tea in our Prosperity glass teapot with a patented BPA-free shut off infuser. Holes in the infuser allow tea to come in contact with hot water during brewing. After brewing, simply stop the brewing process and prevent tea from getting bitter by plunging the filter to seal tea leaves away in a chamber. This Prosperity tea pot features a rouge red color, built in coaster, stay cool handle and borosilicate glass construction. 1.2 liter or 40.6-ounce capacity. Hand wash.

Customer Reviews
Had this for about a month now, and it's performing just fine. This model is good for about three good-sized mugs of tea. The frame protecting the glass body is a tough plastic that should blend well with most tea accessories that have a smooth, low-gloss black finish. The glass is fairly thin but stands up to hand cleaning and clinking against teacups.
I've used two types of loose tea in it so far--a black and a white. The loosely rolled, flexible white tea leaves create a pretty good barrier to water passing through, so you need to take more time pouring over the infuser. The dryer, more tightly rolled black tea leaves infuse quickly but the tips have a tendency to get caught in the holes of the infuser, meaning that they require more time (a scrub brush with bristles helps) to remove when cleaning. This hasn't been a big issue so far, however.
All in all, this is a good teapot for those who like tea in a social context but don't want to get too twee with floral motifs or humorous cows. Would recommend.
1-year-ish update: End of May 2011 and the pot is still in great shape. Minor interior tea stains wipe out with baking soda paste, and the plastic frame still keeps the glass body protected from random bumps in the hands of lazy/clumsy users (moi). Still recommend!
Teapot is nice, love the size as my former one was a small Japanese one about a cup and a half in size with no infuser, only a strainer in the spout. Don't know how anyone can brew a full pot of tea and use the stop brew fteature this pot advertises. If I put enough tea in the infuser to brew a full pot the tea cannot be compacted enough to get below the holes in the infuser to stop the brewing. Of course I use a wide variety of teas including a lot of whole leaf types, it may work better with more finely chopped teas. Only a small flaw as I said as the infuser can be lifted out of the pot completely in cases like this. The other small problem is that pouring the water directly over the leaves is troublesome as the holes in the infuser does not let the water drain in to the pot so the infiser fills up and you have to wait, holding the tea kettle, until you can add more water. Works better filling the pot then adding the infuser with the tea. It works, just not as elegant. Other than that the pot has been fine for me.
